Workshop Aim

The economics department at the Universitat de Girona annually organizes a workshop on Public Policy Design. This year's workshop aims at providing a forum of discussion of current research on the dynamics of labour markets and institutions. The workshop organizers are particularly interested in contributions addressing the role of non-labour market institutions in labour market performance. Papers dealing with the impact of credit market institutions, renting and housing regulations or product market regulations on labour market outcomes such as employment, productivity, labour mobility and wages will be devoted special attention. However, papers exploring the role of labour market institutional features (e.g. employment protection, unemployment benefits, unions) will also be considered. The Workshop will spand over two days, during which 10 papers will be presented. Each paper will be discussed by a workshop participant.
